High blood pressure and relaxation alongside medical treatment for wet macular degeneration

I came to see Lily mainly because I was diagnosed with wet macular degeneration in my left eye and my blood pressure has been high on and off.  I have had acupuncture before and I'd read it could be helpful for these problems and for relaxation as well.

I was trying to change my diet and I had to have injections in the eye for the macular degeneration which I'm still having.  I’ve found the acupuncture very helpful, it complements the injections nicely and it's very relaxing.  I do still get stressed, but I can handle it better now.  The blood pressure is also much better controlled now and Lily is monitoring this regularly for me.  It has meant I can avoid blood pressure medication - at least for the time being - which is a really big plus for me.

I think Lily’s excellent, she’s very friendly, professional, helpful and a good listener.  She obviously knows what she’s doing and even with queries that might not be related to acupuncture, she’s very helpful and researches into certain questions that I have and advises on nutrition.  I’m really happy with the level of care I get and would definitely recommend her.

Acupuncture for atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia

I was diagnosed with atypical trigeminal neuralgia 2.5 years ago and, having joined the TN Association, read an article about how acupuncture had helped a sufferer in relieving pain caused by this condition. I was prescribed Oxcarbazepine, which is often taken for this condition. When I first visited Lily I was taking up to 4 tablets per day. I am now taking 2 tablets a day and I hope to reduce this down to 1 in the next few months.

I have ongoing acupuncture sessions - one every two or three weeks for 1 hour. Because I have quite a stressful job working on London every day, I will continue my sessions as I find them very helpful in reducing stress levels and thus reducing the pain caused by my TN.  Having regular acupuncture relieves the tension build-up in my neck and face which, in turn, can sometimes stop the pain that I feel in my jaw from the TN, for a period of time.  I am very satisfied with the care I receive.

Weekly migraines and stress relief

I’m a Waitrose assistant. For the past 2 years I have been working night shifts and I have suffered from migraines almost on a weekly basis.  A friend of mind suggested I try acupuncture.  I have tried common painkillers, Nurofen Plus, aspirin, ibuprofen etc.  I have found that acupuncture has helped me immensely with my migraines and stress, I would definitely recommend it. I’m extremely happy with all the care I have received and I find Lily to be extremely friend and caring.

Help with conceiving and work stress.

We are currently trying to conceive and I wanted to de-stress from the pressures of trying for a baby and the work stress.  I had acupuncture and moxibustion with Lily.  The care has been brilliant, I feel totally relaxed during and after my treatment.  From my first appointment Lily, I was made to feel welcome and that helped with the de-stressing from everyday life.  I would and have recommended Lily to family and friends.  I would say to people that if you are looking into acupuncture and other treatments I would highly recommend your services.  I have had a fantastic experience during my treatments.

Stress, Anxiety & Allergies

"I have been to see Lily on 2 separate occasions.

The first time was a couple of years ago due to feeling stressed, anxious and generally overwhelmed for a while. I had tried various natural therapies and had heard good things about acupuncture so thought I'd give it a try.

I then came to see Lily again 2 years later, around a year aged having my first son, due to hormonal imbalances causing lots of allergies. Within 2 sessions all of my symptoms had completely gone! Again,

Lily is very friendly and welcoming and straight away made me feel comfortable. She offered lots of other advice during my consultation to try and incorporate alongside my acupuncture treatments. "

Panic Attacks, Anxiety & Stress

"For 9 years, I have suffered from panic attacks, anxiety and stress. My sleeping patterns had also been disturbed for a while. Acupuncture was suggested to me at hospital and Lily came recommended to me by a friend so I tried it. I experienced an amazing difference in my life. Going from being scared to even go into town to shop, to being able to get my life back on track, going and doing what I wanted and even signing up for a college course which I had put off for nearly ten years. I feel much more confident and better about myself. I can't thank you enough.

"I've read about TCM before and was going through some anxiety, stress and emotional upset as a result of a breakdown of a relationship. After the Acupuncture treatments with Lily, I found relief from my physical anxiety symptoms but also within myself gained clarity of thought and insights into what I should do.

I have found your approach very professional and caring - I would recommend you without hesitation. Thank you so much. "

Emotional Stress

"I have been under emotional stress on and off for three to four years now. I have been coming to Lily for Acupuncture and have also received Acupressure treatments. On my first visit for Acupuncture, Lily made me feel calmer and have a more positive outlook and I felt that a lot of weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I can now cope a lot better with the emotions and not be afraid to show them and cry if necessary. I enjoy our chats - Lily has been a great strength to me over the past four months and has given me ideas on changes with diet (great stir fry ideas!), sleep and drinking plenty of water."

Stress Related Stomach Pains, Nausea & Back Pain

"My stomach and digestive system problems have developed over the past four to five years in particular to do with stress. My back problems started from an accident at the age of thirteen which have become particularly bad over the past five to six years. Lily has treated me with Acupuncture, Ear Seed Acupressure and Herbal Medicine and I have seen a definite improvement in my stomach issues, particularly with respect to stopping the nausea that usually accompanies all my other symptoms. There has also been a distinct improvement in my moods and general stress levels which I think has helped greatly. The Acupuncture to help relieve my back pain has been stunningly effective!

From the start I have found Lily's attitude, procedures and literature to be of a very professional standard. Given my apprehension at receiving Acupuncture, I was amazed at how quickly I felt comfortable and relaxed during my first session. I have been very pleased with everything that I have seen to date and I feel that the service that I get is already well above average and carried out with a professional hand."

Vitiligo

"For years, I had been referred back and forth across several dermatologists and specialists for a skin problem they eventually diagnosed as vitiligo, a whitening of the skin in several patches throughout my body. These patches had gotten worse over a recent period of stress and I wanted to try something natural that would help my symptoms but also help me feel less stressed. I was given Chinese herbs to boil which dramatically reduced the appearance of the white patches within 6 weeks and eventually returned the skin pigmentation to those areas! My stress levels are now much more manageable and I continue to have monthly consultations with Lily once a month. Thanks for all your help."

Headaches, Tiredness & Stress

"Headaches have been a problem for me for 10 years and I had also suffered from tiredness and stress for about a year before I started treatments with Lily. Lily recommended acupuncture and acupressure for my ailments and I embarked on a course of treatments with her. I felt the treatments were designed around me and my ailments and each session was very calming and relaxing. Now my headaches no longer occur as frequently and I feel less stressed and much calmer than before."

Infertility (3 Years) & Stress

"A friend had just started treatments with Lily to treat her infertility and recommended her.  I had tried acupuncture before and hadn't been very comfortable with the practitioner but decided to try Lily anyway.

Lily was extremely professional from the very start. I felt she really cared about her work and her patients, and was very understanding and very thorough. She told me I would need at least 12 treatments - by the 9th week, I was pregnant!

The treatments made me feel better generally, my periods improved immediately as did my basal body temperatures.  It was an added benefit that she is a good listener and helped me work through the stress the infertility had caused.

I cannot recommend Lily highly enough, she helped me all through my pregnancy and I am sure the lifestyle changes she recommended helped me get pregnancy again very quickly - I now have two lovely boys!"
