Acupuncture and cupping for athletic injuries and muscle aches

As an amateur athlete, I often deal with major/minor injuries and various muscle aches/tightness. Lily is now my person to go to. I’ve done many physio sessions and nothing ever has come close to the effect of acupuncture and cupping on my body. My recovery has improved so much and many injuries have been fixed just by one/two sessions.  Highly recommend as Lily is able to tailor the treatment to your body to find the best for you, is very knowledgeable and the nicest person you could ever meet.  I have recommended to my friends already and will be using going forward to injury prevention.

Problems with my lower back and piriformis (5 Stars)

“Lily was a pleasure to meet and very good at what she does. She's very friendly, reassuring and made me feel very relaxed and calm. I had problems with my lower back and piriformis and they improved dramatically within the 6 weeks of treatment. I'd definitely visit her again for treatment, not just for my leg/back but any future ailments. Thanks again Lily x”

Help with knee problem (5 stars)

“From my first session with Lily, she has made me feel at ease by being very attentive and caring. She has helped me with a knee problem when everything else that I previously tried failed. It is rare in this busy life to find someone who will genuinely listen and do whatever she can to help. Lily has a gift and I would have no hesitation in recommending her as she goes that extra mile for her patients.”

Back and leg pain

Having strained a muscle or ligament damage in the groin area, I was experiencing intense pain in my back and leg after 4/5 hours sleep. To the extent that was unable to sleep. A visit to my local GP and I was prescribed pain killers which proved to be next to useless. I had acupuncture treatment with Lily and the results were immediate.  That night the pain in my back and leg were relieved and I had a reasonable nights sleep.  I still have the problem with my muscle strain, but that can only be resolved with rest.

I am very appreciative of the professional treatment I received.  From the initial consultation and analysis of the problem,. I felt as though I was in very professional hands and all my questions and concerns were answered to the extent that I had complete confidence in the following prescribed acupuncture.

Help with pelvic floor pain

I was suffering from pelvic floor pain and our GP was not particularly helpful. After some research, I realised I needed to see a physio. I found a lady who did deep tissue massage which helped (but did not resolve all pain issues) and left me with unpleasant detox effects. I needed more help from someone I knew and trusted. As I had been a patient of Lily in the past, I sought her help. A session of acupuncture sorted out most of the remaining pain which was probably due to a knotted abdominal muscle. Lily then said that I needed to have more treatment from a physio and I subsequently found a lady physio who specialised in pelvic floor pain. I always happily seek Lily's advice and help as I trust her implicitly, she is compassionate and very knowledgeable. Lily has helped me with skin problems in the past and was a great help with the pelvic floor pain. God bless you Lily!

Acupuncture for atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia

I was diagnosed with atypical trigeminal neuralgia 2.5 years ago and, having joined the TN Association, read an article about how acupuncture had helped a sufferer in relieving pain caused by this condition. I was prescribed Oxcarbazepine, which is often taken for this condition. When I first visited Lily I was taking up to 4 tablets per day. I am now taking 2 tablets a day and I hope to reduce this down to 1 in the next few months.

I have ongoing acupuncture sessions - one every two or three weeks for 1 hour. Because I have quite a stressful job working on London every day, I will continue my sessions as I find them very helpful in reducing stress levels and thus reducing the pain caused by my TN.  Having regular acupuncture relieves the tension build-up in my neck and face which, in turn, can sometimes stop the pain that I feel in my jaw from the TN, for a period of time.  I am very satisfied with the care I receive.

Weekly migraines and stress relief

I’m a Waitrose assistant. For the past 2 years I have been working night shifts and I have suffered from migraines almost on a weekly basis.  A friend of mind suggested I try acupuncture.  I have tried common painkillers, Nurofen Plus, aspirin, ibuprofen etc.  I have found that acupuncture has helped me immensely with my migraines and stress, I would definitely recommend it. I’m extremely happy with all the care I have received and I find Lily to be extremely friend and caring.

Back pain/pins and needles from work as a builder

I'm a builder by trade and am constantly on my feet and going up and down ladders most of the day caused me to start getting great pain and pins and needles in my feet.  I’d gone to physiotherapy and tried lotions like deep heat etc.  I had acupuncture with Lily – was the first time ever that I’ve tried this sort of treatment.

The care was absolutely amazing. Lily took notes about my health and asked many questions so she could find what was the best treatment for me.  After a few days my feet felt so much better and the problems i had previously seemed to have vanished over night. Every thing was very professional from start to finish and I've been back to Lily on a couple of accusations when the problem in my feet has flared up again.

Lily is a very knowledgeable lady that knows her stuff.  She takes great care in your well being and makes sure you always feel comfortable before treatment and the prices are very reasonable for this type of service.

Jaw and stomach pain

I had been suffering with bad pain in my jaw for about 10 years which was worse through the wintertime. I had medication (Carbamazepine) from my GP, I wanted to see if acupuncture would help.

Also I have diverticulitis and tried to eat sensibly, especially more roughage.  I wanted advice on relief of the symptoms.  I can’t believe how much the treatment helped. I had acupuncture 3 times I think, and noticed the difference in my jaw, and the advice I was given for my stomach has helped a great deal. Marvellous. I haven’t taken any tablets for nearly 2 years.  Lily was such a lovely person and made me feel very relaxed and confident.

Back pain post pregnancy

After having a baby I developed really poor posture, which led to me to experience very bad back pain and tight muscles. A family member recommended cupping to relieve some the tension in my back. Cupping really relieved the tightness in my back and the hints and tips that Lily provided me with to help correct my posture were so useful.

Symptoms of Menopause & Prolapsed Discs

I have decided to go through the menopause naturally and was looking for ways to help me manage my symptoms. I also have 3 prolapsed disc, which do give me problems periodically and which I’ve used physiotherapy and osteopathy for previously. Following a recommendation I booked in for some Acupuncture. My hot flushes decreased, my energy levels improved, advised to drink peppermint tea as it was more cooling than ginger and lemon. My radiating lower back pain improved, which gave me a better nights sleep. I am a health care assistant so I need to be in good health myself.

Back pain, headaches and stiff shoulders

I suffer from stiff/heavy shoulders, back pain and headaches.  I had a 60-minute acupuncture session and found it to be very good.  At the time of receiving the treatment, the main pain of my shoulder had eased off but the treatment seemed to stop another flare up coming up for quite a while.  In addition to the physical treatment given, Lily also suggested some exercises to try and some websites that can assist with stress reduction.  Lovely surroundings, lovely lady, definitely revisit when I can.

Back pain during pregnancy

"I suffer from a bad back and when I fell pregnant it got to the point I was in agony. Someone suggested I try acupuncture and after one session I felt very relaxed. Unfortunately I then had a holiday and couldn't have another session in a short space of time and think this would have helped. Due to pregnancy hormones I couldn't return for another session as my back got so bad I couldn't drive.

Lily was amazing, very informative and attentive. She explained everything and made me feel very relaxed as I was nervous to start since I  had not received acupuncture before.

Lily was also most helpful with helping find alternative arrangements when I was unable to get to her. She researched other people I could try which I think is amazing.

I will definitely be returning for more treatment once my baby has arrived."
